St Johns In The City is located at Willis Street , Dixon Street, Te Aro in Newzealand.

As a faith community standing on the corner of Willis and Dixon Streets, we continue the presence and proclamation of the Gospel in the centre of Wellington city, valuing our traditions and acting creatively for the future. The morning service tends to follow a traditional format, with the children and youth going out to their programmes after the children’s talk section of the service. Most services have a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs. There are a choir and a contemporary singing group. About once every 6 to 8 weeks there is an all-age worship service, which involves young people, and is multi-media in style.

St Johns In The City is the perfect venue to host your events. We welcome you to come and discuss plans for your special occasion. There are many facilities offers to make your event unforgettable and success.
We also hold conferences at St John’s Centre as a service to the community. Our rooms are well suited for professional workshops, training seminars, community meetings, recreational activities, and afternoon teas following weddings. We have a variety of rooms that hold from 10 up to 150 people. If Wellington weather permits, the courtyard provides space to sit and just ‘be’, outside the rush of city life. When you hire a room, you also get access to the kitchen and courtyard areas.

Some audio-visual equipment is also available for hire, and we have FREE Ultra Fast Broadband WiFi access. Limited parking is available on the grounds on a first-come, first-serve basis. The main floor is accessible for people with special needs. The entry to the Centre is flat and wide enough for a person in a wheelchair. There is one toilet on the ground floor accessible through the main Hall. If any member of a group needs to be driven to the door of the Centre for health reasons, please let us know beforehand so that we can arrange for the parking bollards to be removed.

Speak to one of our friendly staff from our functions team, and they will be able to assist you in ensuring your next event is professionally run, stress free and memorable.
