The Rowing Club

Wellington Rowing Club is one of the premier rowing clubs in New Zealand. Situated on the Wellington Waterfront, it is also one of the most sought after pieces of real estate in the city. We have been a part of Wellington for over 100 years. The club has a fine reputation in the rowing community and has produced many international oarsmen and oarswomen, including Olympic and World Championship gold.

The Rowing Club Function Room is situated in a supreme waterfront location. The historic building has stunning panoramic harbour views and a truly unique atmosphere.

The Rowing Club is an excellent venue which provides individuals with a charming space for birthdays, family gatherings and other events. It makes choosing your wedding venue easy. A striking building which cannot be beaten for its stunning views, location and atmosphere. A venue which is centrally located with magnificent views. Tables and seating are both included for your conference or meeting.

The shared deck between our venue and the Boatshed is available on a first come first served basis at no charge. We recommend that you reserve this at the time of booking your event. Marquees can be put up on the deck but must not be attached to the building.

The room can seat up to 100 for a sit down meal or up to 180 for a mix and mingle event. A commercial clean after your event. All you need to do is remove your rubbish and bottles. Use of kitchen facilities. Exclusive use of the smaller deck on the South side of the building.
